Scalar potential in graphene

By straining graphene a scalar potential is generated, which shifts the charge neutrality point of graphene and changes the work function. For the first time this has been shown in transport measurements. The results which have been obtained within a collaboration with the nanoelectronics group in Basel, have appeared in Nature Communication Physics.
