CORRELATED VAN DER WAALS STRUCTURES MOMENTUM RESEARCH GROUP.

The Correlated van der Waals structures momentum research group investigates heterostructures assembled from 2D crystals. These include graphene, 2D semiconductors, topological materials and ferromagnets. We fabricate heterostructures to address electron optical elements, spintronics devices, superconducting hybrid devices and correlated electron heterostructures. Our  novel technique, a pressure cell for 2D materials, allows the tuning of interlayer distance in 2D materials, which is an important knob for superlattices or proximity based heterostructures
